Microsoft compra Sybari, software house specializzata in soluzioni antivirus e antispam per il mercato Enterprise (un solo prodotto Sybari può lavorare su multiple versioni di Microsoft Exchange e Lotus Notes, Sybari fornisce soluzioni antivirus ed antispam per Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 e Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services).
Significativa la frase riportata nella Press Release: "In a recent ICSA Labs survey, e-mail attachments were cited as the means of infection in 88 percent of virus incidents in corporate environments, a clear indication that further innovation is required."
